However, one drawback of using virgin polyester is that it is sourced from oil, coal, or natural gas, which contributes to the depletion of our planet's valuable resources.
In order to address this environmental concern, Jain has made a commitment to substitute all virgin polyester with recycled polyester in our products.
The comparison between virgin and recycled polyester
In the past, polyester was solely derived from nonrenewable sources like oil. However, our focus has shifted towards utilizing 100% recycled polyester. A notable advantage of recycled polyester is its ability to be reused without compromising the quality of the end product.
By incorporating recycled polyester into our products, we not only prolong the lifespan of non-biodegradable materials, but also reduce the amount that ultimately ends up in landfills or the ocean.
Remarkably, recycled polyester possesses the same appearance, quality, and functionality as virgin polyester, all while emitting approximately 50% less CO2. Additionally, it adheres to the same rigorous cleaning and safety standards.
Challenges with Recycled Polyester
The utilization of recycled polyester helps reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, but there are challenges in making it widely accessible at an affordable cost. Frequently, environmentally friendly products tend to be pricier.

By exclusively partnering with GRS-compliant recyclers, we guarantee that social, environmental, and chemical standards are met. Additionally, we collaborate with esteemed organizations like Textile Exchange to enhance recycling standards and traceability, extending our impact beyond recycling centers.
